Hello! My name is Michelle, and I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.) residing on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Sylix (Okanagan) peoples who have cared for this land for thousands of years. Listening is the foundation of my counselling approach. Let me help you discover how to overcome your fears and live the life you deserve. I offer caring, compassionate, virtual services for individuals and relationships. I have 15 years of experience in non-profit mental health agencies, government run programs, and short-term employee assistance. I am so grateful to offer long term, in depth, psychotherapy to those seeking it. I hold unconditional positive regard for all my clients.
I have additional training in personality disorders and welcome clients who have diagnosed or self-identified personality disorders. I also enjoy working in the LGBTQIA2S+ community helping folks find their values and identity. My “best match” clients are often artists, or people have lost touch with their creativity and want to feel good enough to express themselves again. I’m happy to serve individuals and relationships living with symptoms of anxiety or depression. My heart is open to individuals experiencing life transitions and looking to blossom with change.
I practice psychotherapy with a multidimensional lens, blending cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, existential psychotherapy, solution focused brief therapy, and integrative expressive arts therapy. I really enjoy working in the transpersonal space. I am trauma informed and practice meditation and mindfulness with clients in the context of somatic mind-body practices. I am trained in Gottman Method couples therapy, with an attachment and emotionally focused lens and I am passionate about supporting ethically non-monogamous individuals and relationships in psychotherapy.
